Papers that Changed Their Lives

I recently listened to NPR’s Planet Money episode titled “ To all the econ papers I’ve loved before”. Thanks to a recommendation by Maxwell Grozovsky on LinkedIn.

I loved the podcast and I highly recommend it to all my students. I had a couple of takeaways.

  1. I would love to know more about the papers that my friends and colleagues found interesting. This episode can be a longer series.

  2. Assigning papers early on in students’ careers can impact their career trajectory. What are good papers to assign to students? I would love to see a breakdown by academic year (complexity)

    • For 1st year students-

    • For 2nd year students-

    • For 3rd year students-

    • For 4th year students-

    Does something like that exist?

Well done NPR Planet Money. Thanks for getting me even more excited about research.
