0% Unemployment

Why is 0% unemployment undesirable? In this episode of Coffee with Dr. A, I discuss the three main types of unemployment, frictional, structural, and cyclical. I also introduce the natural rate of unemployment and policies that help reduce the unemployment associated with each of the three types. Economic policy around unemployment needs to consider the type of unemployment policymakers are trying to minimize.
